Using UUID Generator
I reach for this tool every time I need database keys, test fixtures, or request IDs and don't want to write a script for it. Tell me how many you need, pick your format, and I'll generate a batch of cryptographically random v4 UUIDs instantly — all inside your browser.
How to use it
- 1
Choose how many
Enter any number from 1 to 100. I clamp out-of-range values automatically, so a typo can't give you zero or a million.
- 2
Pick your format
Leave the standard lowercase hyphenated form, or flip on Uppercase, Remove hyphens, or both — handy for systems with strict ID formats.
- 3
Generate and copy
Hit Generate and your batch appears in a scrollable list with the count shown. Copy all copies the whole list, one UUID per line, ready to paste into code or a spreadsheet.
Why use this privately?
UUIDs only work as unique identifiers if they're genuinely random — a predictable or sequential ID can leak information or collide in ways that break your app. I use your browser's crypto.randomUUID(), the same cryptographic generator your runtime trusts, so every v4 UUID has 122 bits of real randomness. And because it all happens locally, there's no server logging the identifiers you're about to use as session tokens or API keys. That's a small privacy habit that costs you nothing.
Who is this for?
Built for US developers, QA testers, and students who need bulk unique identifiers for code, databases, and test data.
